ZHHK is a software engineering studio in Hong Kong. We design and build web and mobile products with AI-native workflows, engineers accountable for every release. Hopick, our flagship product, is a Cantonese-first social app for the city.
The name ZHHK comes from the locale code 'zh-HK', which represents the Traditional Chinese language used in Hong Kong. It reflects where we are based and the community we build for first.

Hopick

Hopick is a Cantonese-first social app for Hong Kong. You share stories, follow the topics you care about, and join discussions — with a feed built for the city, not built to keep you hooked.
The name comes from 'Hong Kong Topics' and 'Hot Pick', representing the hot and trending topics in Hong Kong that we curate for people to explore.
Yes — Hopick is completely free, has no ads, and no paid tiers. If the app is useful to you, a small donation covers our running costs and keeps Hopick going for Hong Kong.
Hopick is built by ZHHK, a software engineering studio in Hong Kong. The same team has shipped every release, and we are accountable for the app and its community.
Download Hopick from the App Store or Play Store. The fastest way in is a frictionless Google or Apple sign-in — one tap, no forms. You can also create an account with your email.
Yes. An account is required, and it's how your posts and comments are attributed to your username. Reading public threads is simple either way.
Everything you post is public and shown under your username. Your detailed profile fields — gender, age, birthday, education, location and more — each have their own visibility toggle, so you control exactly what's public.
Up to 10,000 characters with rich-text formatting (bold, italic, lists, links, task checklists and spoilers), up to 10 images, up to 20 @mentions, and up to 3 tags.
They're lightweight tags attached to a post, max three at a time. Any member can create one. Each tag isn't just a feed though — it also connects to the profiles of people who use it, so you can find the community behind a subject you care about.
Open the Topics tab to browse or search, or follow today's trending topics. Each topic has its own feed of related posts.
You can comment, like, upvote, downvote, and collect posts. Every action is reversible and everything is public.
Collecting saves a post to your own personal list, like a bookmark. You can remove it from that list anytime.
Yes. You can edit a post's title and text, and you can delete your own posts. Deleted posts are hidden from the feed.
Yes. You can delete a comment anytime, and you can edit a comment within the first hour after posting.
You can block a person from their profile, a post, or a comment. Their comments are then masked and can only be revealed one way, and you can manage your blocked list in Settings.
Posts and profiles have a report button. Reporting comments is in development.
You get push and in-app notifications, with an Activity tab and an unread badge. A master switch plus per-type toggles — and a daily digest — let you control exactly what you hear about.
No ads, and we don't sell your data or trade your attention. We only collect your email (or Google/Apple sign-in), which is strictly needed for your account, plus the optional profile fields you choose to share and control.
Posts are public, and a clear set of community rules keeps it a respectful space. Moderation — hide, delete, and ban — is enforced by the Hopick team.
Yes, from Settings. Once you confirm, your account is disabled and you have 30 days to recover it. After that it's permanent and your posts and comments become disassociated from you.
